📌 Temel Reported Speech — Kısa Hatırlatma
Reported speech'in temelini Ünite 27'de işledik: backshift, say vs tell, soru aktarımı ve emir/rica. Bu ünitede üç ileri konuyu ele alıyoruz: reporting verbs (çeşitli aktarma fiilleri), modal aktarımı ve backshift istisnaları.
🔵 Reporting Verbs — say/tell'in Ötesi
Sadece say ve tell kullanmak yerine daha zengin reporting verbs ile konuşmacının niyetini ve tutumunu da aktarabilirsin. Her fiil farklı bir yapı gerektirir.
Tele dokunmamamı uyardı.
"You should rest." → The doctor advised her to rest.
Doktor dinlenmesini tavsiye etti.
"Please, please help me!" → She begged him to help her.
Ona yardım etmesi için yalvardı.
Parayı aldığını itiraf etti.
"I didn't break it!" → She denied breaking it.
Kırdığını inkâr etti.
"Why don't we leave early?" → He suggested leaving early.
Erken ayrılmayı önerdi.
Projenin geciktiğinden şikâyet etti.
"I'll finish it by Friday." → He promised that he would finish it by Friday.
Cuma gününe kadar bitireceğine söz verdi.
She threatened to leave / threatened that she would leave.
He refused to sign the contract.
🟠 Modal Aktarımı
Bazı modaller backshift'te değişir, bazıları değişmez.

🟣 Backshift İstisnaları
Bazı durumlarda backshift zorunlu değildir — zaman kaydırmadan aktarım yapılabilir.
Aktarma fiili geçmiş zamandaysa (said, told, asked…) ve olay ya da durum artık geçerliliğini yitirmişse backshift zorunludur.
"I am tired." → She said she was tired. (o an geçmişte kalmış)
⚠️ suggest, insist, recommend — Özel Yapılar
Bu fiiller gerund veya that + should alır. Doğrudan infinitive alamaz — en yaygın hata budur.
He suggested to leave early.
She insisted to pay the bill.
I recommend to visit the museum.
He suggested leaving early.
He suggested that they should leave early.
She insisted on paying the bill.
I recommend visiting the museum.
The manager suggested that they take a break.
The manager suggested that they should take a break.
